Quick switcher (Ctrl+K)

Jump between servers, channels and chats from the keyboard: the shortcut, search and tips.

The quick switcher lets you move between servers, channels and chats without taking your hands off the keyboard. Instead of scrolling through lists with the mouse, you type a few letters and press Enter.

How to open it

  • In the Windows app and in the browser: Ctrl+K
  • In the browser on macOS: ⌘+K

Pressing the same shortcut again, or Esc, closes the window.

What you can do

Results filter instantly as you type into the search box:

  • Servers — type the server’s name and press Enter; you land in its first channel.
  • Channels — type the name of a text or voice channel. Selecting a voice channel connects you to it.
  • Friends and DMs — type a username; selecting it opens the direct-message window.

Move through the results with the ↑ / ↓ arrow keys and select with Enter. Your most recently visited places are listed at the top while the box is empty, so the fastest way to bounce between two chats is Ctrl+K, Enter.

Tips

  • Typing only part of a server’s name is enough; matching also looks inside words.
  • If channels with the same name exist in several servers, the result row also shows the server’s name — check it to pick the right one.
  • To find messages you use often, use bookmarks rather than the quick switcher; you can keep 50 bookmarks on TEBHOS Başlangıç and 300 on Pro.

If the shortcut does not work, one of your browser extensions may have taken over Ctrl+K; disable extensions and try again. If the problem persists, write to us using the template in the bug-reporting guide.
