Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) gives you a set of rights over your personal data. This page summarises those rights and how to exercise them on TEBHOS; details are in the KVKK Notice and the Privacy Policy.
Your rights
By applying to TEBHOS as data controller, you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is being processed,
- request information about it if it is,
- learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose,
- know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom the data is transferred,
- request rectification if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
- request erasure or destruction if the reasons requiring processing no longer apply,
- request that rectification/erasure be notified to third parties the data was transferred to,
- object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems,
- claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.
How to apply
- Write to [email protected] from the email address registered to your account; “KVKK request” in the subject line is enough.
- State which right you want to exercise and the scope of your request (for example “I want a copy of my data” or “please correct this information”).
- The request must come from your account’s address so we can verify your identity; for requests from other addresses we ask for extra verification.
Our postal address for written applications is on the Company Information page.
Time limit and cost
We resolve your application free of charge within 30 days at the latest, as Article 13 of the KVKK requires. We send the answer by email. If your request is refused, we state the reason.

For some rights you do not need to write to us:
- Erasure: you can delete your account yourself in the app; see Deleting your account. You can also delete individual messages and attachments yourself.
- Rectification: you can change your profile details in settings; write to us to correct your date of birth.
- Access: for an export of your data see Exporting your account data.
Your right to complain
If your application is refused, the answer is insufficient or no answer is given in time, you can lodge a complaint with the Turkish Data Protection Authority within 30 days of learning our answer and in any case within 60 days of the application date.
