Exporting your account data
How to request a complete export of your TEBHOS data.
You can request a complete export of your account data. Article 11 of the Turkish data-protection law (KVKK) guarantees your right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
How to request an export
An in-app, one-click data export interface does not exist yet; it is on our roadmap. Until it ships, requests are handled by email:
- Write to [email protected] from the email address registered to your account. The request must come from your account's address so we can verify your identity — requests from other addresses get extra verification questions.
- A subject line like "Data export request" is enough; you can narrow the scope if you want (for example, account information only).
- We resolve your request free of charge within 30 days at the latest, as Article 13 of the KVKK requires.
What is included
Depending on your request, the export typically covers:
- your account and profile information (username, email, registration details)
- your account settings
- the list of servers you are a member of
- a summary of your purchase records (card details are never in our hands, so they are never in the export either)
For the full list of what we collect (and what we do not), see the Privacy Policy.
Treat your export with care
We deliver the export to you through a secure route. Treat its contents as sensitive: store the file somewhere encrypted (your operating system's user folder behind a password, a personal password manager, or full-disk encryption) and delete it when you no longer need it.
Before you delete anything
Deleting a message also deletes its attachments. Download anything you want to keep before deleting messages or deleting your account. Attachments also expire based on size, so see how attachment expiry works.
Deletion and correction requests
Beyond an export, you can use the same route to request that specific data be deleted or corrected, or to learn whether it is being processed. To delete your whole account you do not need to email us — you can do it yourself in the app: How to delete or disable your account.
If your application is rejected or not answered in time, you keep the right to complain to the Turkish Data Protection Authority.
