You can personalise your server’s look with an invite background, a banner and an animated icon. These features depend on the server’s boost level: as members boost the server, the level rises and features unlock (see Boost levels).
Which feature at which level?
| Feature | Required level |
|---|---|
| Server icon (static) | Everyone |
| Invite background | Level 1 (10 boosts) |
| Server banner | Level 2 (25 boosts) |
| Animated server icon | Level 2 (25 boosts) |
| Custom invite URL | Level 2 (25 boosts) |
Business Class servers have the Level 2 perks without collecting boosts.
Invite background
The invite background is the background image of the join screen someone sees when they click your invite link. It reflects your server’s identity at first glance.
- Open Server Settings → Appearance.
- Upload an image to the Invite background field (a landscape image works best).
- Save; it appears on existing and new invite links.
Server banner and animated icon
The banner is the wide image shown behind the server’s name above the channel list; the animated icon lets the icon in the server list play as a GIF. Both are uploaded from the same section. Image sizes and supported formats are shown in the upload field; the size limit follows the server’s attachment limit (see File and message limits).
What happens if the level drops?
If boosts expire and the server loses a level, the images tied to that level are not removed but are switched off; they come back automatically when the server regains the level. To upload a new image, the level must be met again.
All server images must comply with the Community Guidelines.
