AnnouncementsRoadmap

Our roadmap

What's on our desk: mobile apps, macOS/Linux desktop, end-to-end encryption research and more — honestly, without promising dates.

The TEBHOS Team · August 14, 2026

For those wondering where we are taking TEBHOS: here is what's on our desk. We are not promising dates — a small team's most valuable capital is trust, and we don't want to spend it by writing down dates we can't keep. But we can say plainly what we are working on.

Mobile apps

Let's start with the most requested thing: iOS and Android apps are on the way. TEBHOS works in the phone browser today, and you can add it to your home screen and use it like an app; but nothing replaces a real mobile app — reliable notifications, voice calls continuing in the background, that "app in my pocket" feeling. We have already started laying the mobile groundwork (device registrations, push-notification infrastructure).

macOS and Linux desktop

Our desktop app is currently Windows-only. macOS and Linux users can use TEBHOS fully from the browser, but as we say honestly on our download page: desktop builds are on the roadmap. Our Windows app's self-updating infrastructure was built so it can carry over to the other platforms.

End-to-end encryption research

TEBHOS is not end-to-end encrypted today — we say so plainly in our Privacy Policy, and we don't want it to stay that way. We have laid the foundations of modern encryption in the connection layer (key exchange, session encryption) and we are researching end-to-end encryption for voice calls. This is not a feature you flip on tomorrow; encryption done wrong is more dangerous than none at all. We will move without rushing, doing it right.

Bringing data export into the app

You can request a copy of your data by email today; the technical groundwork behind it is ready. The next step is letting you generate that export yourself, in a few clicks, from inside the app. You shouldn't have to write an email to use your KVKK rights.

Growing the voice side

Our audio backbone is in Frankfurt today, with low latency from Türkiye. We designed the infrastructure so new regions can be added as the user base grows; wherever demand concentrates, we will move closer. Investment in audio quality, such as noise suppression, also continues.

The ongoing work: performance, security, polish

Between the roadmap items there is work you never see but we do every week: migrations preparing the database layer for growth, speed improvements, maturing moderation tools, and fixes arriving through security reports. This is the work that produces no announcement post but makes the app a little better every month.

The gist

  • On the way: mobile apps, macOS/Linux desktop, in-app data export
  • In research: end-to-end encryption
  • Ongoing: performance, security, audio quality

This list is not carved in stone; it is shaped by your feedback. If a feature matters to you, write to us — on TEBHOS you'll see your feedback actually reaches someone who reads it.
